Kapuro TC-200C Underground LHD Shipped to Mexico for Narrow-Vein Mining
LAIZHOU, Shandong, China — October 2026 — A Kapuro TC-200C underground load-haul-dump (LHD) loader has completed commissioning and final packing at our Laizhou manufacturing plant and is now on its way to a major underground mining customer in Mexico. Ordered for stope mucking, drift cleaning and short-haul tram operations, the 2.0 m³, 4-ton class machine was configured specifically for the harsh conditions typical of Mexican and Latin American underground mines, where narrow drifts cut through narrow-vein orebodies, elevations push the air thin, ramps run steep and haul roads stay wet and muddy for most of the year.
The TC-200C keeps a compact footprint of just 7060 by 1840 by 1960 millimeters, with a sub-2-meter body width that lets it enter headings most 2-cubic-yard loaders cannot. Center-articulated full-hydraulic steering delivers a ±42° steering angle and an inner turning radius of no more than 4255 millimeters, with an outer radius of 6500 millimeters, so the machine swings confidently through tight corners and narrow veins where larger equipment simply cannot follow. The lateral-arrangement cab gives the operator a clear view of the bucket edges on both sides, which matters when every centimeter of clearance counts.
Power comes from a DEUTZ F6L914W second-stage combustion air-cooled diesel rated at 84 kilowatts at 2300 rpm, with peak torque of 275 newton-meters at 1600 rpm. Because the engine is air-cooled rather than water-cooled, it avoids the overheating problems that plague liquid-cooled units at thin-air elevations, and the second-stage combustion design keeps exhaust temperatures down for a safer working environment underground. A standard wet-type air filter and catalytic muffler further reduce dust intake and exhaust pollution in the tunnel.
The drivetrain pairs a DANA C272 torque converter with a DANA R32000 four-speed powershift transmission for smooth, clutchless gear changes across four forward and four reverse speeds, with top travel speed around 20 km/h on flat drifts. Rigid planetary drive axles with a NO-SPIN differential lock torque to the wheel with grip instead of letting one spinning wheel waste power, and ±6° to ±8° rear-axle oscillation keeps all four 12.00-24 tires planted on uneven, wet and rutted floors. The result is a maximum tractive force of 110 kilonewtons and a gradeability of 12 degrees fully loaded, which is exactly what operators need on the steep, slippery ramps common in Mexican hard-rock mines.
For safety, the TC-200C uses fully enclosed, wet multi-disc hydraulic service brakes for fade-resistant stopping in dusty tunnel air, backed by a spring-applied parking brake that engages automatically on loss of pressure. Four 70-watt head and reverse lights substantially improve visibility in dark sections, and the whole brake circuit is fed by a dedicated hydraulic supply so a leak in one work circuit cannot take the brakes down.
The machine is built to last in abrasive rock: a welded frame with 20-millimeter main plates, a bucket cutting edge in 500-series high-manganese wear-resistant steel, and a breakout force of 90 kilonewtons SAE, meaning it digs through fragmented ore without bogging down. A 100-liter fuel tank and 120-liter hydraulic tank support a full shift without refueling, and the hydraulic cycle time of around 12.5 seconds keeps the mucking cycle fast, with lift, dump and lower times tuned to shave seconds off every pass. Remote control, an automatic fire-suppression system and automatic centralized lubrication are available as options to cut down on underground maintenance stops and keep the machine working more hours per week.
Understanding that parts lead times are a top concern for overseas customers, this shipment includes a dedicated onboard spare-parts crate together with ready-to-fit seal kits for the lift cylinders, the dump cylinder and the steering cylinder, so the Mexican customer can handle routine wear-item replacements on site without waiting for the next sea-freight window.
Kapuro is the overseas brand of Laizhou Tuoxing Heavy Industry, a Shandong-based manufacturer focused on small and medium-sized underground mining equipment, including underground LHDs, mining trucks, drill jumbos and electric loaders. We help small and mid-size mines worldwide mechanize stoping and hauling with reliable, fit-for-purpose machines and committed after-sales support. This delivery to Mexico is another step in our growing Latin American footprint.
