In the underground mines of Peru, the narrow tunnels and the ever-increasing demand for ore transportation presented a core conflict. Existing standard trucks could not meet the load capacity requirements within the strict size limitations, severely restricting production efficiency.
The client presented us with a precise and challenging task: to increase the effective payload from 6 tons to 8 tons within an extremely limited space, with a vehicle height absolutely not exceeding 1.9 meters, while also requiring the vehicle to be powerful, reliable, and safe for underground mining conditions.
Upon receiving the request, Tuoxing's technical team did not treat it as a simple order modification, but instead gained a deep understanding of the operating environment: including the rigorous testing of the braking system under continuous heavy-load downhill conditions, the maneuverability requirements in confined spaces, and the need for reliability of the power system under high-intensity operation. Based on this, we developed a systematic customized solution:
1. Structural redesign: Adopting the approach of "reinforcing the truck bed to match the mature vehicle body," we performed precise calculations and strengthening of the load-bearing and stress-bearing structures, achieving a significant increase in payload within the limited space while strictly adhering to the size constraints.
2. Core configuration tailored to operating conditions: We selected the Deutz BF6L914 engine and PS750 power shift transmission to ensure sufficient power for heavy-duty starting and climbing; a specially customized braking system was designed to address the problem of brake fade during long downhill runs in underground mines, enhancing intrinsic safety.
3. Comprehensive operational adaptation: From a Spanish-language operating interface and documentation that complies with local regulations, to the on-board toolbox, we ensured that the vehicle could be seamlessly integrated into their operating system upon delivery.
In December, the client successfully received this customized truck and put it into operation. It is not only a piece of equipment, but also a testament to our ability to deeply analyze the client's on-site problems and provide customized engineering solutions, ultimately helping the client unlock greater transportation capacity within limited space.
